With Millennials set to dominate 50% of the workforce by 2020, it is important to use modern recruitment methods to attract the best millennial talent. Defiantly Brill specialises in placing millennials in entry-mid level roles. As a nimble start up agency, we are moving away from the monotonous and laboured recruitment techniques of old, and have elected to use modern and engaging techniques to source the best candidates. We believe the key to a successful recruitment process is engagement; both candidate and employer must be engaged during the process. Keeping both candidate and employer engaged during the process, helps to ensure a suitable match is made – minimising the turnover of new staff.

I’m an accomplished talent acquisition professional with a sound understanding of both corporate and SME environments. My recruitment background began in 2007 working for an agency within the Financial Technology world in the City of London. Hence my client experience spans across some of the largest organizations on the Globe but also encompasses smaller niche boutique firms. For work / life reasons that were out of my control, in 2011 I decided to work on an independent basis getting paid only on delivery, I have never looked back - this has ensured that I always stay on top of my game and that I keep up to date with all the latest trends and strategies to be successful in recruiting top talent! Since 2011 I have worked across a number verticals for some of the World’s most reputable organisations to the newest start-ups and every size in between.

In my role, I am assisted by colleagues at Exclusive Star, a novel recruitment organisation. I have sourced candidates both locally and internationally and delivered on roles from entry to executive ‘C’ level. I have managed both small and large projects including major recruitment drives and designed innovative sourcing strategies.

I’m a skilled recruiter with an academic background in technology and Engineering. I see recruitment as an art - I proactively source new talent in specialised fields. I have an ability to understand information, client business needs, challenges and deliver a compelling story to attract top talent by developing an action plan and diverse strategies to connect the dots. I always maintain a quietly driven and consultative approach.

Unlike what I hear from many peers, I truly love recruitment as it gives me a feeling that I am helping others and this feeling is a fundamental driver for me. I seem to get paid for listening and speaking to people, which I love, being a recruiter allows me to do this. Each day I work, I gain enormous personal satisfaction and fulfillment by truly trying to help others. I love the stories of all the new people, candidates or clients that I encounter. Every day is a new and exciting adventure, you just don’t know the stories that you will hear. If you don’t have a genuine affinity and empathy for people, you cannot succeed in this industry.

Outside of recruitment my life revolves around my two children and their activities but when given a chance I focus on my own sporting passions!
