Leadership Recruitment specialise in recruiting commercial leaders, people who have a history of making positive things happen and getting the right things done within organisations;
NorthCo Support is a no nonsense business support provider. Providing a range of business support services from Personnel, Legal and finance support through to direct sales and marketing support;
The Touchline Coach is a motivational Executive Coaching and support system for business and professional people and their teams, trying to excel in a world of increasing competition, pressure, and negativity.
The team multiplyer effect
We currently have 8 professionals… all CEO’s, FD’s, Lawyers, Sales, Marketing or Operations Directors. Through our team based approach we multiply the effect of a single executive by utilising the skills and experience of each discipline. Each of us is involved in planning and supporting every assignment we undertake.
We use the team multiplier approach to maximise results. This means our client gets a dedicated executive but that executive is then supported by skill and experience from each discipline within the team. Meaning a much larger pool of knowledge and experience is at your fingertips. Or to put it another way…better bang for your buck. Team Multiplication!
So, Leadership Recruitment is not your standard recruitment agency.
Let’s be frank, there are many recruiters out there masquerading as management recruiters. They claim to understand the requirements of businesses and that may have been true at least 10 years ago. Of course, we claim that too…the difference is, through our consulting arm NorthCo Management we are engaged right now within turnaround situations.
Combining strong analytical skills with clear operational focus, NorthCo executives bring deep operational experience. Our involvement will always be practical rather than theoretical, providing clear thinking and focused action.
We deliberately straddle the line between strategy, process, facilitation, and organisational consulting—becoming trusted partners to our client as they tackle their most challenging strategic issues.
We have high standards, so we created the NorthCo operational process. Of course we also operate to the Institute of Interim Management’s Professional Code of Conduct.

Our Approach
Relationships matter to us. We are collaborative, highly engaged and, most importantly, we care. We are owners of our firm and, because of this, we’re motivated to make sure we do the right things for our clients and one another. We take pride in what we own. And we have fun while we do it!
It isn’t just our loyalty, broad operational experience and team based approach that sets us apart from other consultancies. It’s our package combined. Our entire team hold the same values at their heart, not because our company said so, but because we are our company.
Focusing upon our values in this way, and the team based approach, keeps us “honest”. Plus, we give each other a good grilling during our Friday assignment update meeting to make sure each assignment is on track and, if necessary, adjust the plan.
We do though try to be a positive and motivational bunch, not in a “you can do it” type of way, more in a logical, deliberate and honest sort of way. We are business consultants after all, not cheerleaders.
We try to inspire people to overcome the difficult times through “heavy team work” and by focusing on the things that make a difference. We are believers in both types of motivation – Carrot and Stick.
Our typical client
We don’t really have a typical client. In fact, when we get a new client we learn afresh every time, so there is no such thing as a “typical” client. In any case, no set of circumstances is ever the same so we think it’s important that we treat every client as unique.
That all said, we mainly work with SME’s ranging in turnover from £2m- £150m. And because our services are specifically aimed at protecting the interests of our client, we tend to do a lot of work with shareholders, financial institutions, private equity and venture capital firms as well as secured lenders and clearing banks.
