Kumon Europe and Africa is the world’s largest supplementary education provider. With over 680 franchised study centres across the UK and Ireland, Kumon provides individualised maths and English programmes to over 70,000 students.

Kumon is currently looking for a Mathematics Project coordinator to research, develop and disseminate best practice in the implementation of the Kumon Method of Learning.

This role will be equally divided between project management, with a heavy focus on the Kumon Maths Programme, and the training of Instructors. 

Predominantly based in Southgate, North London, however training events will be held across the UK and Ireland therefore so regular travel will be necessary.

This role will include the following duties and responsibilities:
 

  • Build and maintain through product knowledge of Kumon materials
  • Run and supervise at least one worksheet study group and voluntary study group
  • Work in a company centre on a regular basis (weekly where possible) and instruct own monitor student
  • Support the development of maths-related KEA training materials as directed, including new Instructor training, seminar/workshop content, e-learning materials and Associate development materials.
  • Co-ordinate with the KEA HCD team to ensure that all maths-related training materials for Associates and Instructors are up to date and accurate.
  • Co-ordinate the introduction of new/revised maths materials and the implementation of amended materials, liaising with KIE and with relevant stakeholders across Kumon Europe and Africa as required.


We are looking for candidates who have:
 

  • Have a mathematics degree or a degree from a related discipline
  • A strong passion for education and training
  • Experience in the development and delivery of training/learning programmes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A professional, positive and enthusiastic manner
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations in the UK and Ireland

The interview process will consist of:
 

  1. Initial face-to-face or phone interview with the hiring manager and a member of the HR team.
  2. If successful you will be invited to attend an orientation meeting/assessment day, in a centre around the country, all expenses paid. The assessment day will not be solely based on tests, but also presentations.
  3. The final stage will be a presentation followed by a Q&A session and a face-to-face interview.
