The UK branch of a leading underwriting group, has an opening for an experienced Complaints Manager to join their City based operation in the heart of London. Reporting to the Senior Compliance and Risk Manager, the purpose of this role will be the handling of all aspects of complaint investigation and resolution, including liaison with the FOS. Specific duties to include:-

  • Recording and investigating all complaints received within the required regulatory timeframes, carrying out appropriate follow up and liaison with other parties, including FOS.
  • Producing root cause complaint analysis.
  • Review and analyse management information
  • Review all relevant complaint communications/regulatory updates
  • Produce Complaint Statistics
  • Assist the Compliance Manager in carrying out monitoring visits of third parties or agents
  • Maintain and update complaint handling procedures as required
  • Attend occasional meetings as appropriate to represent the Head of Compliance.
  • Report all relevant compliance issues to the Senior Compliance and Risk Manager.
  • Assist in the collation of FCA reporting data and submissions.

The successful candidate will need to be able to come in and hit the ground running and therefore an insurance background and understanding of the industry is essential.
