Job Title: PHP Developer 

 
The One World platform, is Uniserve group’s global operating platform in addition to our customer supply chain management system. Therefore, data is captured and contained within a single platform, completely eradicating any potential data issues that arise when integrating disparate systems. 
 
Main purpose: We are looking for talented individuals with at least 3 years coding experience to join our vibrant development team based in Upminster. The position offers the opportunity for exceptional personal development with a very experienced team operating in both China and the UK, creating the tools that will change the development landscape. 
 
Reporting to our Lead Developer, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. 
 
Roles and Responsibilities Include: 
Maintenance and debugging of Back-End systems 
Writing code and testing solution developments 
Monitoring service levels 
Troubleshooting and support and server issues that come up 
Working to deadlines and planning workloads effectively 
Integrating back-end code into the existing front-end code from the development team 
Undertaking sprint work as required by the needs of the project. 
Liaising between junior developers, clients, hosting companies and other stakeholders 
· Receiving and recording details of customer problems 
· Keeping customers informed of their call request status and progress 
· Escalating problems to the lead developer as appropriate 
· Liaising with other IT teams, where appropriate, in order to resolve customer requests 
· With a mindfulness for quality deliverables, aligning with IT and facilities resources to execute on requests in a timely fashion 
· Documenting and maintaining relevant procedures and configuration information 
· Maintaining currency, expertise and competency of relevant One World products, policies, and methods for support delivery 
· Monitoring and reporting on failed Helpdesk application assignments 
· Evidence gathering and recreating of issues with impact assessment and issue prioritisation 
· Liaising with development and operations for issue resolution and documentation of workarounds 
· Superuser level role in the applications to make configuration changes as required 
· Following the Change Management Request process and gaining necessary approvals 
· Providing feedback to the training team on training requirement of users based on experience
