Following a recent merger of two specialist Insurance broking houses, resulting in increased staff numbers and associated project work, the need has arisen for an additional 2nd line Support Technician / Assistant to join the existing IT Manager. The successful candidate will be technically capable in the following:-

  • Windows Active Directory including account setup and groups.
  • Direct user desktop support.
  • UTP cabling and understanding of patching / switches.
  • Good understanding of IT security.
  • Email and associated delivery solutions.

WordPress experience would be extremely advantageous.

Candidates interested in applying should be confident and capable in liaising with suppliers and directly assisting members of staff with technical problems - escalating where necessary. 

It is also worth noting that this role involves significant ‘hands-on’ and you will be expected to do quite a significant amount of desk cabling and moving of I.T. equipment where necessary as the company goes through its I.T. merger and staff are relocated.

The candidate will need to demonstrate their technical abilities at interview stage and there will be  technical questionnaire / test to be completed.
