We are now looking to continue that ambitious growth into the future, and has a fantastic new opportunity for a Tax Senior to join the team on a full time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Tax manager with the preparation of tax returns, P11d’s, and also Income & Expenditure accounts and rental accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in tax, alongside previous experience working within a tax or accountancy role. A professional qualification such as the ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA is required for this position, however a part qualified status will be also considered.
The role demands the successful candidate possess a meticulous nature in order to ensure all work is accurate, together with strong communication and organisational skills.
Flexibility will also be required in order to accommodate busy periods of the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of self-assessment Tax Returns and calculating tax liabilities
- Preparation of forms P11’ds
- Preparation of Income and Expenditure accounts and rental accounts
- Liaising directly with clients as required
- Assisting the Tax Manager as and when required on matters such as HMRC investigations and one off assignments such as capital allowance reviews.
- Liaising with HMRC in respect of various client matters
- Preparation of self-assessment Tax Returns and calculating tax liabilities
- Liaising with external parties including solicitors , other accountants and IFAs
- Future tax planning for high net-worth individuals
- The role will have a focus on compliance and advisory
Key Person Requirements
- ATT , CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
- 2 years previous experience within a tax or accountancy role.
- Strong timekeeping skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to relay complex taxation issues in a straightforward manner.
- An up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills.
- A meticulous nature in order to ensure all work is accurate
- IT literate
