Finance Accountant (1)
Job Description:
Experience/ skills required:
· ACCA qualified or part qualified with at least 2 year's experience in a multi-tasking financial accounting role;
· Experience with multi-currency consolidations
· Strong excel skills;
Experience/skills desirable: knowledge of SAGE Line 50 would be advantageous
Location: London (NW1). May require a small amount of travel abroad.
Job Purpose and description: To take responsibility for accurate recording and reporting of the Company’s first line finance functions and to support colleagues in dealing with finance matters.
Management Accounting
· Management of all daily and monthly accounting processes including:
o Updating sales and purchase ledgers, processing of purchase invoices, credit notes, supplier statement reconciliations and dealing with supplier queries.
o Maintaining fixed asset register and depreciation calculations;
o Management and processing of approved staff expense claims;
o Other adhoc accounting duties as applicable;
· Responsibility for regular reconciliation of bank and petty cash accounts, credit card accounts and staff expense claims;
· Responsibility for inter-company processing and reconciliations;
· Monthly review of foreign subsidiary’s management account submission and liaison with the team members in Kosovo and Italy;
· Preparation of consolidated month end management accounts to P&L and Balance Sheet level.
Treasury
· Responsibility for collation, preparation and execution of approved multi-currency payments;
· Monitoring the account balances and assessing whether adequate foreign exchange balances are in place for short term commitments;
· Responsibility for preparation of the Weekly Treasury Report for distribution to company Executives.
Statutory reporting, audit and VAT returns
· Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns for two UK entities;
· Liaising with auditors during interim and year end audits;
· Preparation of statutory financial statements for two UK entities;
· Assistance with listed company annual report preparation.
Sales assistance
· Preparation of quotations for sales and liaison with CEO on pricing;
· Preparation of sales invoices and credit notes.
Adhoc tasks
· Liaison with CEO as and when required to prepare requested reports; and
· Assisting Finance Director with other general financial reporting as and when required.
