Farmfield Hospital is a 52 bedded independent, purpose built hospital situated near Gatwick Airport. The service provides care & rehabilitation to a diverse group of male patients with complex forensic histories.

 

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Clinical or Forensic psychologist, with a range of specialized skills in the assessment, treatment and management of mentally disordered offenders.

 

Annual salary:                    up to £53,000 pro rata

Hours per week:                22.5

 

Our Clinical/Forensic Psychologist role involves:

  • As part of a multi-disciplinary team, being actively involved in providing assessments, individual and group based interventions, and giving psychological advice to aid clients along their recovery pathway.
  • As a member of the active Psychological Services Department, having a positive, problem-solving approach and contributing towards the service development initiatives currently being undertaken by the department.

To be successful as Clinical/Forensic Psychologist you’ll need:

  • At least 2 years’ experience of providing specialist assessments and interventions (individual and group based using models such as CBT, DBT, ACT and Schema therapy )
  • Experience of structured professional risk assessment, including the HCR-20, providing psychological based training for staff, supervision and carrying out research projects.
  • Experience of working with patients who have sexually offended or have trauma issues is desirable
  • Candidates must be HPC registered.
