The Opportunity:
Menzies LLP is actively looking to identify a very talented individual to be our new Audit Manager to be based from the central London office. This is a key role within a growing and dynamic firm, you will be required to manage audits with turnover up to £50M. This is a key role within a strong team and there is the aspiration this role will develop into a partner of the future.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Management of client portfolio including: Statutory audits; accounts preparation; general advisory, strategic and tax planning; attend client meetings;
- Managing audits, including specialist audits e.g. FSA registered, solicitors, charities and schools.
- Completing jobs with minimal supervision, to deadlines and within budget.
- Marketing, including prospect follow ups, organising events, co-ordinate property campaign, attend local events, fortnightly marketing meetings with other department reps and feed back monthly partners meeting.
- Liaison with other service lines as needed i.e. Vat, Tax, etc.
- Liaise with overseas auditors and advisors.
- Informally mentor 3 trainees and formally mentor 2 qualified members of staff, holding regular meetings and assisting with objective setting and personal development.
- Reviewing audit files.
- Planning, preparation and scheduling of audit jobs
- Where applicable delivering recommendations to management post audit
- Manage WIP and monthly billing, chasing debtors.

Required Skills & Attributes:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (degree not essential)
- Minimum of five years in an Accountancy Practice
- Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, IFRS, statutory accounts and disclosures
As well as being able to prepare and review completed audit files for a large variety of clients to a high standard, the ideal candidate would be a good communicator and be able to deal confidently and effectively with both clients and staff alike. They should be able to cope with jobs where the records are not straight forward, and should be able to work within deadlines and budgets.
