Job Description:
Here at the Celtic Manor Resort we are looking to recruit a Golf Sales Manager to join our Client Services team. The main focus in the role is to promote and sell all the facilities, specialising in golf of the Celtic Manor Resort in order to achieve the Resort’s financial budget along with managing the Golf Sales Executives towards achieving goals and targets. To provide an efficient and professional service to all clients with information that is clearly administered and communicated to all parties and to be the main POC for all Golf Tour Operators including key accounts.
You will need to be organised to ensure that the correct allocations of rooms/courses are maintained at all times to achieve customer satisfaction and to implement and follow a sales strategy, using the systems and information available in order to achieve maximum rate and occupancy, thus achieving budget. The role involves a large amount of administration and high level of attention to detail is essential.
You will need to have excellent communication skills with a professional manner and to be reliable and enthusiastic. You will need to ensure all of the team are motivated and focused on converting every sale and lead by example.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry and selling golf to transient & golf business is essential along with hotel PMS, function diary and tee sheet. You will need to be friendly, approachable, work well within a team and confident in meeting new people.

Essential
- 5 GCSE’s or similar, higher education, GNVQ/A levels
- Experience in the industry or a linked industry at a similar level
- Experience of selling golf to transient & group business.
- Experience in hotel PMS, function diary and tee sheet
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience working within a golf focused venue.
- Proven experience managing a small team, motivating and developing team members.
- Sales, customer service & admin experience.
- Experience of dealing with clients at all levels. Keyboard skills, experience in using windows, excel.

Desirable
- Golf handicap of 15 or less
- Good geographical knowledge to fulfil confidence in overseas clients.
The job will require you to work when needed which could be weekends and long hours, possibly affecting domestic life. Will entail overnights at the resort and travel to trade shows for periods of time. Frequently overseas.
