Job Aim:
To develop the conference and events sales team to effectively manage and convert C&E enquiries. Through proactive sales activity, deliver planned revenue targets and gain competitive advantage for the hotel. A key focus is required on customer relationships, maximising all revenue opportunities and attention to detail.
This will be achieved by:

Key Accountabilities:
- To effectively create and use the C&E pro active sales and marketing strategy document
- To manage the effectiveness of the office through staffing hours and time management
- To provide an excellent customer journey measured through BDRC
- Account management for key accounts
- To increase enquiry levels and conversion statistics
- To provide as an office exceptional communication skills through in person, through telephone calls, emails and RFPs
- To manage appointments and show rounds in line with business needs
- To arrange and host open days / evenings / FAM trips and wedding shows
- To handle customer feedback
- To complete customer, company and source profiles to the company standard within Opera Sales and Catering to ensure data integrity.
- Effective use of Opera Sales and Catering manage, chase and convert all C&E enquiries
- To effectively use daily and weekly task list in line with company standard.
- To produce and maintain your calendar of events.
- To understand all MICE reports
- To host effective show rounds of the hotel
- To ensure best practice is adhered to at all times
- To adapt / embrace quickly and efficiently changes in the business

Personal Specification
- PC Literate
- Knowledge of Opera Sales and Catering desirable
- Self motivator
- Works in a calm, organised and focused manor

- Excellent Communication Skills
- Highly organised/strong eye for detail
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Flexible to change and ability to motivate team to adapt
- Knowledge of local MICE Market desirable
