Job Description:
We are a structural and architectural steelwork fabrication and installation family run business looking for an experienced and self-motivated Site Engineer (Survey/Setting-Out of Structural & Architectural Steelwork). We are looking for the following qualifications and experience for Site Engineer to be employed full time:

? Check original Survey Control, establishing additional control as required.

? Carry out OGL (Original Ground Level) survey prior to commencing works -
agree with client

? Checking Construction issue drawings.
-
? Issuing RFI/TQ's to client/Design team as required. ?
-
? Complete setting out as required, anticipating requirements and progressing to be ahead of the workforce.

? Completing take-offs and compiling schedules as required.
-
? Maintaining accurate records.
-
? Measure and calculate volumes.
-
? Complete and maintain As-Built surveys and records.
-
? Assist the site team as required to deliver the project.

? Establish Consistent and accurate Datum Level’s throughout any building
project
-
? Work with the site erection crews for the setting out of Structural &
Architectural Steelwork.

? Ability to work independently with minimal instruction whilst ensuring
quality and procedure compliance.

? Quality Assurance is an important part of any project and adequate record
keeping is fundamental

? Management of equipment including ensuring
Maintain communication with Design Team and Subcontracted & Client Site
Engineers
calibrated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturers tolerances and
all instruments are regularly
specification, in accordance with the laboratory accreditation requirements of
both the United Kingdom Accreditation Service and ISO 17025
The Role requires the candidate to have the following knowledge and disciplines:

Excellent knowledge of steel

Excellent knowledge of design & connection details

Excellent knowledge & production of architectural and structural fabrication
drawings

Use of Autocad
-
Ability to work as a team to ensure every project is a success
-
Works co-ordinated with Commercial, Design, Project & Production Dept’s
-
Ability to work under pressure and still produce accurate work within industry
standard tolerances.

Ability to liaise competently with Engineers & Architects and manage the
flow of technical information on the project

Very keen and eager to get the job done even if it requires overtime to
complete the work
