Job Description:

 

BSRIA is a test, instruments, research and consultancy organisation, providing specialist services in construction and building services. This particular role relates to a vacancy within BSRIA Ltd. Compliance Department. BSRIA now has an opening for the right person to develop and extend its range of acoustic services.

 

Key Tasks:

 

• Generate procedures compliant with the requirements of the relevant test standards, ISO 17025 and

 

ISO 9001 quality procedures.

 

• Taking the aforementioned procedures through the UKAS accreditation process and maintain

 

accreditation.

 

• Providing training to the current and new personnel.

 

• Providing consultancy services to clients across the business units.

 

• Continued assessment of process to identify and implement efficiency improvements.

 

• Overseeing and where required conducting works.

 

• Liaise with QA Manager to ensure all new and amendments to procedures are compliant with

 

company quality standards.

 

• Quality assurance of technical reports.

 

• Sales of service offering to current and new clients, both individually and with Business Development

 

Managers.

 

Skills and Knowledge required:

 

• The ideal candidate is likely to be working in a combined consultancy/field measurement role at a senior level.

 

• Extensive experience in an acoustic consultancy role.

 

• Experience of working in an ISO 17025 / ISO 9001 environment.

 

• Extensive relevant consultancy experience in the field of Environmental, Industrial and Building

 

Acoustics.

 

• Excellent report writing, personal organisation and communication skills required.

 

• A proven ability to deliver client expectations to budget and timescale.

 

• Client facing and capable of communicating complex acoustic issues to non-technical people.

 

• Expected to lead the acoustic input, undertake predictions, and write reports on a range of

 

projects.

 

• Fully conversant with relevant standards and guidance.

 

• Fully conversant with acoustic legislation specifically relevant to the UK.

 

• Demonstrate proven report writing skills

 

• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.

 

• Flexible and willing to undertake out of hours work on occasion and away from home for short

 

periods of time.

 

• Commercially aware with business development capability.

 

Employment:

 

The post is 37 hours per week, 8:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 8:30 – 16:30 on Friday. Benefits include a stakeholder pension scheme and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata), childcare vouchers, etc. This is an office-based post in Bracknell.
